Barbara Coombs Lee, founder of Compassion & Choices, is a powerful advocate whose journey from bedside nurse to attorney shaped a national movement to improve end-of-life care. When I joined the organization, I was asked to partner with Barbara to bring her manuscript to market, drawing on my background as an author. I led the effort from manuscript development through publication, working closely with consultants to complete and refine the book through multiple revisions. I created and executed the comprehensive marketing strategy—including a robust digital campaign—developing all materials for the nationwide launch. This project blended strategic storytelling with mission-driven messaging to elevate Barbara’s voice and expand the book’s reach across online platforms and audiences.
